General terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) are designed to ensure the correct and efficient functioning of the accreditation process (including the application process) for the access of media representatives and other persons who have been granted accreditation by FA Slovenia (“Accredited Persons”) for the Group Stage of the 2021 UEFA Euro U21 in Slovenia, between 24th and 31st March (the “Event”). The Accredited Person may elect to attend official football matches to be played as part of the Event including any pre- and post-event activities (each a “Match”), subject to compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

  1. This accreditation process, the Accredited Persons’ attendance at the Event and anything in relation thereto is subject to all applicable laws and regulations, as well as the instructions and guidelines given by FA Slovenia.
  2. FA Slovenia reserves the right to reject any request for accreditation at its sole discretion for any reason whatsoever and shall not be required to provide any explanation for such rejection. In addition, FA Slovenia reserves the right to revoke, amend or limit the accreditation device, prohibit the Accredited Person from entering any area under FA Slovenia control or expel the Accredited Person from such areas for any reason that FA Slovenia considers just or in its interests. In such circumstances the accreditation device shall, upon request by FA Slovenia, be delivered immediately to FA Slovenia (or to a duly authorised person on behalf of FA Slovenia).
  3. If an individual is appointed to apply for accreditation on behalf of other another person or persons, then this individual shall be fully and unconditionally responsible for ensuring that each relevant Accredited Person is aware of, agrees to and complies with these Terms and Conditions. In particular, the relevant individual is obliged to pass on a copy of these Terms and Conditions to each Accredited Person for whom he/she applies.
  4. Access to the relevant zone or media area for each Accredited Person shall be granted for the sole purpose of carrying out a valid and current function in that zone or media area and only upon:
    • acceptance of these Terms and Conditions;
    • presentation of a valid accreditation device (which must be clearly always displayed whilst the Accredited Person is carrying out a valid and current function in a relevant zone or media area. It should not be worn at any other time); and
    • upon request, proof of identity with valid photograph and signature.
  5. The accreditation device shall remain the property of FA Slovenia and is non-transferable. It may be used by the named Accredited Person only and will govern the areas where Accredited Persons are entitled to carry out their work. Accredited Persons are forbidden to go to any area not applicable to their accreditation. No Accredited Person is allowed to go onto the field of play before, during or after the Match, or go into the tunnel and dressing room area, unless specifically authorised by FA Slovenia.
  6. Accredited Person acknowledges that any and all rights in or relating to the Event and each Match are owned by UEFA and may not be used without UEFA prior written authorisation.
  7. It is strictly forbidden at any time (whether before, during or after the Event and/or a Match) to:
    • record, use and/or transmit any sound, image and/or description of the stadium and/or any Event venue and/or the Match (including any results, statistics, information and/or other data of the Match) for any commercial purpose other than solely for editorial news reporting purposes in permitted publications (as defined in Appendix 1) without the prior written approval of UEFA; and/or
    • transmit any still and/or moving images of the stadium and/or the Match for any purposes without the prior written approval of UEFA. No such materials may be formatted for viewing on any mobile devices (such as mobile telephones, PDAs, tablets, etc.) or on any Internet site other than in accordance with clause 9 below.
  8. Any transmission (whether audio, visual or audio-visual) from or of a Match and/or the stadium via Internet, either fixed or wireless technology, or the sale or distribution of any commentary of a Match on any media, is expressly prohibited unless specifically authorised by UEFA.
  9. Subject to clause 7, only photographs taken by officially accredited photographers may be published in permitted publications via the Internet, mobile or via “Apps” (as defined in Appendix 1) as long as they appear as still images and not as moving pictures, quasi-video streaming or slide shows. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in respect of the Match, photographs published in online permitted publications (whether via the Internet or otherwise) shall have an interval of at least 20 seconds between the posting of each such photograph.
  10. No contradictory provisions under existing licences or agreements with third parties will be recognised in relation to the Event and/or a Match unless approved in advance by UEFA.
  11. Accredited Persons may only use the trademarks, logos and marks associated with UEFA, the Event and/or a Match in accordance with the guidelines issued by UEFA and for no other purposes without the prior written approval of UEFA. Accredited Persons shall not engage (either by themselves or through any third party) in any marketing, promotions or any other activities associated with UEFA, the Event and/or a Match, or use any materials created by Accredited Persons under this accreditation for such purposes, without the prior written approval of UEFA.
  12. Accredited Persons shall comply with all guidelines and conditions, including without limitation all instructions of stewards, safety personnel and/or any other duly authorised persons, relating to safety and security at the Event and/or a Match, including any and all policies and procedures in place in respect of sanitary measures.
  13. Accredited Persons consent to be filmed or photographed by any available method for recording images and sound, and hereby grant to UEFA and/or UEFA’s licensees all necessary permissions and rights (including the waiver of any rights subject to applicable laws) to use and exploit such photographs or video/audio recordings, without compensation.
  14. Accredited Persons and all other persons at the stadium are strictly prohibited from using, possessing, or holding promotional or commercial, political, religious or racist objects and materials, offering to sell, selling or possessing with intent to sell goods such as food, drinks, souvenirs, clothes, promotional and/or commercial items unless approved in advance by UEFA and/or FA Slovenia in writing. All such items may be removed or temporarily confiscated by stewards and/or any other duly authorised persons.
  15. Accredited Persons may not offer to sell or sell accreditation devices or any items relating thereto, including without limitation any bibs or other accreditation devices. Accreditation passes or other devices may not be used for any kind of commercial purpose such as, without limitation, advertising.
  16. Accredited Persons are responsible for their own accreditation device and shall indemnify and hold FA Slovenia and UEFA harmless from and against all damages and liabilities suffered or incurred in connection with, resulting from or arising out of the use of their accreditation device and/or a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  17. Persons applying for accreditation (whether such application is made by them personally or on their behalf) understand and permit the processing of the following personal data by submitting the request for accreditation, with such data being collected and processed by FA Slovenia for the purpose of processing the application for accreditation, issuing accreditation devices and carrying out any access check procedure or other necessary screening:
  • Identification data such as name, date of birth, place of birth, ID number, nationality, picture, etc.;
  • Contact details such as email, mobile phone number, etc.;
  • Company name.

The Accredited Person declares that all personal data provided is true, accurate, current and complete.

  1. FA Slovenia is subject to Slovenian data protection laws when collecting and processing personal data. The holder of this accreditation consents to the use of such personal data in connection with the organisation or administration of the accreditation process and/or for the purpose of any relevant safety and security measures, as well as any administrative process or request from the relevant authorities related to the performance of activities on their soil, and to the transfer by FA Slovenia of such personal data to its subsidiaries and third parties in particular to venue security and access service providers, who perform functions on FA Slovenia’s behalf, as well as to the relevant authorities for the above mentioned purposes, and in the performance of their activities. Accredited Persons have the right to access and rectify the information related to them, by contacting akreditacije@ep-u21.si.
  2. The personal data provided and processed pursuant to these Terms and Conditions is only collected and processed by FA Slovenia for no longer than is necessary for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions, unless the use of such personal data is further required for ongoing administrative or judicial proceedings relating to the Event or, where necessary, for preventing or detecting unlawful actions. Persons applying for accreditation and Accredited Persons have the right to access, update, and/or request the deletion of the information related to them, by contacting akreditacije@ep-u21.si. To do so, FA Slovenia may require any such person to provide verification of their identity (e.g. copy of official Identification Document with a photo mentioning their date & place of birth). FA Slovenia may refuse, restrict, or defer a request where FA Slovenia has the right to do so under the applicable law on data protection.
  3. In the event that an Accredited Person misplaces or loses an accreditation device, FA Slovenia shall decide in its sole discretion whether to replace such accreditation device and shall charge a fee of €150.00 for such replacement.
  4. These Terms and Conditions are drafted in the English language. If these Terms and Conditions are translated into any other language, then the English language text shall prevail.
  5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of Slovenia. All disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be submitted to the Slovenian courts. FA Slovenia reserves the right to pursue any legal proceedings in the competent courts at the defendant’s domicile.

I confirm that I have read and understood, and I agree to be bound by, these Terms and Conditions in accordance with the rights granted to me by means of my accreditation device. Moreover, I agree to be responsible for ensuring that other Accredited Persons for whom I have applied (if any) are aware of and comply with these Terms and Conditions.
